Andrew joined Weiss & Hiller as an associate during the summer of 2011. He primarily handles matters in the disability insurance practice and contributes to the firm's successful practice areas in complex business / commercial litigation.
Andrew graduated magna cum laude from Michigan State University College of Law and was a Team Captain of MSU's Moot Court & Mock Trial Advocacy Board. During law school, Andrew won Best Overall Advocate and was a quarter-finalist at the Buffalo Niagara National Mock Trial Competition at University of Buffalo Law School. In his final semester on MSU's Moot Court & Mock Trial Advocacy Board, Andrew led his team to the semi-finals at the William W. Daniel National Invitational Mock Trial Competition. While in law school, Andrew also worked as a research assistant for renowned Law & Religion Professor Frank Ravitch.
While in college, Andrew was a scholarship athlete at both the NCAA Division I and II levels. Andrew played baseball at the Division I level with Marshall University for two years before he transferred to West Virginia State University. At West Virginia State, Andrew was a starting pitcher and led his nationally ranked team to conference and regional championships as well as a fifth place finish in the 2005 NCAA Division II College World Series.
Prior to joining Weiss & Hiller, Andrew worked as a litigation associate with the Peyton Law Firm in Nitro, West Virginia. At the Peyton Law Firm, Andrew handled a wide variety of matters including personal injury, medical malpractice, and workplace discrimination litigation.
