As part of our insurance law practice, we engage in pre-suit negotiation, defend examinations under oath, and handle administrative appeals. Over the past eight years, the lawyers of Weiss & Hiller have recovered tens of millions in insurance claims for our clients, including, what was at the time, the largest reported verdict ever against an insurance carrier in New York for bad faith repudiation and wrongful termination of a disability policy.

We were the first New York-based law firm with attorneys serving as members of the Bad Faith Insurance Litigation Group of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, and have established legal precedents in New York for a policyholder's entitlement to recover damages for bad faith, policy repudiation, and for violations of the RICO statute.
